ARTIST STATEMENT

Making is a powerful, sensuous and intimate experience, I find clay and the creative power it gives me irresistible. It takes me to a semi-conscious dream place, into my creative self where time stands still.

Inspiration for my work comes from the natural world and I am obsessed with the colour and shapes I see in the plant world. I love colour and my rich glazes add liveliness, vitality and fun to each piece.

My work is sensual, precious and exotic, with an air of mystery in which every piece is a personal act of creation, each taking with it a little part of me.
