ARTIST STATEMENT
Delicate, fragile, light, precious, calm, sophisticated …
Structured, entire, direct, energetic, ambitious, engaged …
Looking for balance, harmony and serenity.
I marvel at the qualities of Nature, yet have a strong sense of belonging to these places. My ceramic work echoes some of the refined aesthetics of magnificent landscape whilst capturing the meditative qualities inherent in them.
Connections between my own experience and the natural environment inspire my work as I explore architectural spaces searching for a symbiotic relationship between ceramic components and spaces; where the whole is more than the sum of the parts
